Very_Dirty_Harry -> Another Newbie (Apr. 10 2007 15:45:18)

Just a quick introduction.
I've lived in the Rotherham area for all my life (so far ...) and I've had my Jeep ZJ Grand Cherokee Limited for about 18 months (ignore the date in the photo's: The camera keeps dropping back to default! and the plate is 'photoshopped' in to reflect how it almost looks 'in the flesh' [;)]). It must be, at the very least, my 40th car since I started driving back in nineteen hundred & frozen to death - just about everything from a Fiat 126 to a Jaguar 420G ...

It's a Canadian retail model that was immediately imported into Blighty and converted to RHD very professionally.
So far I've done very little to it other than normal servicing, new AT tyres all round and having it converted to LPG.
I had intended to do some off-roading but the muse has left me so I'm thinking about selling it and getting some humungous Yank gas-guzzling rag-top. A Cadillac Eldorado Convertible could fit the bill very nicely, thank you very much [8D] Just one job to do first (apart from giving it a damn good valeting, which it's desperately crying out for [8|]) and that's fit the stainless steel combined side-steps/rock-sliders which I bought last year. I got them so SWMBO could get in & out easier which was a struggle because of her medical condition. Unfortunately she finally succumbed to it and died on 3/3/2007 and I've had little inclination to finish the job!
Anyway, I might see a few of you in person as I'm thinking about attending the Spring Nationals at Billing Aquadrome next weekend. Just one question: How much is it to get in & park up?

Check out the pics. Second down on the left shows the LPG tank with the petrol tank hidden for'ard of it - although the new skid plate occludes it somewhat. In the second engine pic (bottom right) you can see the driver's side LPG injector block just left of center [8D]

Actually the LPG tank only reduces the ground clearance by less than an inch!

It's the angle I took the photo from that makes it appear lower.
