Well folks, the Abrooks might be moving house, and if so it means the IROC will go for sure to cover the various costs.

I shall put a proper ad up in the Classifieds on here, but wondered if you could people could spread the word that a very nice original IROC is now up for grabs!

For those on here who haven’t seen it in the flesh, I’m sure my esteemed colleagues can verify it’s a belter, and totally standard expect for the Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust, and the 4th gen tan leather seats. Oh and it has a Momo steering wheel and a CD player fitted. Everything works as the good General intended including the re-gassed Air Con!

It’s been garaged and kept dry for the 20 months I’ve had it, and was the subject of a 4 year restoration from 1998 – 2002 including full re-spray and original decals.

1986 305 TPi auto with T-Tops
Performance rear axle optioned
Mint re-furbed original 16 inch alloys
Just over 100k in total
Serviced annually.
Won best 80’s car at the 2006 AACI Spring Nats
Rocky (American Technique) has done all the work on her since I brought it down south from Newark on Trent.

I’d rather not use fleabay to sell her as I don’t think it will do her justice to be honest.

I’d rather sell her at a show or through the forum where people are less likely to waste my time.

I’m sobbing as I type this!

“sniff!”

Well rather than put it up for £4800 or even £5000 and get haggled down, she will go for £4600 and not a penny less.

I've spoken to several 3rd gen experts regarding price and they all agree I shouldn't let it go for less.

Gonna stick her on ebay this weekend and take advantage of the free listing fees!

Will only cost me if she sells.

Good luck mate. I hope you get the price you want, having seen the car in the flesh, well worth the money.

If only I had a triple garage

She should sell really quickly and fetch the money you want.
As you know mine sold within days of putting it on the market, and went for 4.2k too.

That was a 87 Iroc, 5.0 TPI Auto. It was almost a twin of your car except it was not a t-top.

Good luck with the sale, I know exactly how you're feeling. My Trans-Am has just gone up for sale for the exact same reason.

Yeah I kind of based my expectations on what you got for yours Paul, especially as it sold quickly.

I think buyers on ebay always expect a bargain so it might not sell on there, but I hope to get some interest at some shows this summer as I don't need the cash urgently as our house is still unsold.

Car is still up for grabs although as we haven't completed the chain yet I'm not pushing too hard to shift her!

She now has a fresh 12 month MOT, 4 new tyres and the new seats you see in the pic below.

£4495 will see her into a new home despite the recent outlay:

SOLD!

To Rocky's uncle Mike. A man who knows his IROC's.

Got asking price too.

Going to have to grin and bare it for a few months before I can buy another yank to have some fun in!
