Hello all
Trying to work out what transmission I have on my 1989 Dodge RAM 250 van. I know it's got overdrive which makes it either an A500 or an A518 according to the manuals I have here. The only difference between them seems to be whether they have a "lockup torque converter" but I've no idea how to tell which I have.
I want to change the fluid and thought I'd check and adjust the bands at the same time but the required setting is different between the A500 and the A518 (again according to my Haynes/Chiltern manuals).
Anyone able to help me here?
