Not the cheapest car on eBay by any means but considering the quality/condition I think it's still good value for the asking price ...

However I could be persuaded to P/X it for the right yank rag/T-top muscle car (2+2 or full 4+ seaters ONLY, please! - I've got 2 labradors and camping gear to carry  )

THIS CAR STANDS ME AT WELL OVER £6K SO I WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY OFFERS LESS THAN THE STARTING PRICE!

I don't want to be a wet blanket, but ZJ's are being picked up all over the place for £700- £1500. XJ's (Mk1 Cherokee's) are going for £500- £800.

Even a gorgeous looking example like this (i love cream interiors), with the 5.2, LPG and plate, i think £4.5k is going to be too much.

I could well be wrong, and i hope i will be. But just thought i'd mention it.

2 points:

1) The Cherokee and Grand Cherokee are not the same car. The similarity in names is more coincidence and looks than anything else but I think you know that already

2) The starting price is £3.5k - a grand less than you're quoting.

As you say ... C's & GC's can be picked up 'cheap as chips' all over BUT most have transgalactic mileages and have been slogged over hill & dale with little regard for component longevity. Often servicing, spares & repairs have been left 'for another day' - which has not yet arrived

Ps. the leather is a very light tan - it just looks cream in the pics

Anyway, it's all moot until this evening. Some anally retentive twot (most probably someone also selling a GC  ) reported me to eBay for 'attempted circumvention of eBay fees' - as if ...
The listing was removed as the automota at eBay(UK)HQ don't have the common sense to understand that 'best offers' aren't available in regular auctions - even with a B.I.N. price!
It'll be back on about 6:50 this evening, for 7 days, as a 'straight' B.I.N. with the 'Best Offer' option included; which means it will end next Monday just before Emmerdale & Corrie start

And while we're not discussing ebid ...
It's a waste of time! They've changed the display format so listings only take up a small section (frame) in the middle of the window. If, like me, you use an offline HTML editor and like to display large high-definition pics hosted offsite you will find that they do not display properly, with anything up to half your text & pics being outside the frame.

PILLOCKS!
