Very_Dirty_Harry -> So where do I go ... (Jul. 13 2007 3:15:08)

... for reliable Jeep servicing in South Yorkshire? (1995 Grand Cherokee)
I tried a bloke in Anston who claims to be the foremost expert [8|] on the marque in the area (I misremember the name - Autotechnics or some such).
Totally incompetent! Take the car in for 4 or 5 hours work and he has it for 3 days [:'(] A job that should only require an overnight 'stay' meant he had it for 5 whole days [:@]
B&H Autos of Doncaster? Asked them to retrack the front suspension as the steering wheel needed to be kept 20 degrees left of centre only for them to return it with the wheel 15 degrees right of centre. If they can't get such a simple job right how can I trust them with more important stuff - brakes, suspension, engine longevity, etc?
Much as I'd like to do it all myself I have neither the physical strength or stamina that I used to have nor any of the necessary computer controlled diagnostic tools now necessary.
At least I can do much more on the Rolls as it's built around 60's technology, most of which I can fix with my eyes closed ( literally in the case of carb balancing [:D])

Can I take it then that you either don't know of a good, reliable and (preferably) inexpensive servicing garage in my area?
Or are you just keeping it a secret?  [:-]

Is the Jaguar guy on Barbot Hall Industrial Estate any good? I've had a tip from the fellah wot put the LPG system in the Jeep that he's good in that area of expertise, although he hasn't bothered to register as such.
