Trouble is most 70's cars were punished to hell.

I keep toying with the idea of selling Amy (93, 4th gen) but every time I do, I realise I'm still rather fond of her, and haven't found anything in the price I'm likely to get for her that I'd rather have LOL.

I reckon I'll somehow finance a new stainless exhaust and keep her. :-)

The Collectors have discovered the ones that weren't beaten to a pulp, or rotted up to the Windows. Just look at how the prices have skyrocketed on the 70's vintage T/A's in the last few years, it's scary.

Could not agree more mate, trying to find a 78 for example at an affordable price is more or less impossible now.
Cant believe I sold my last one for 3K but many year ago & only because I hit Bad Times as most of us do.

mi last 2nd gen transam i had ,was a 1979 ltd edition brought in from a now closed down dealer in bradford nearly 20 years ago, nice lookin motor ,t tops ,ws6 performance pkg ,nearly new transam in that day cost me £3500 including all taxes an 6 month road tax,
just a pity it was a cut n shut ,it had been cut straight across floor body from back of doors an about 6 inch of t roof near front screen(found out when i took seats out fer recovering in leather to make it look more like an aniversary model)used to flex creak an groan like chuff, saw it running around about 8 years ago at billing an owner wer chuffed wi'it

but ave had plenty of yanks since then wi no problems an a few fresh imports

Pretty strait forward to import & easy enough to get the vehicle checked out by a Dealership prior to purchase, used to cost my about $15 for a full check up.

I may be rejoining the Trans Am tribe next year in the form of a late 90s mk4. Need something thats going to stand up to being a daily runner!!

Currently have a Twin Turbo Soarer which is fast and unique, but I must say, deep down I'm a Trans Am man :)
