I've been here in the US a long time now so I have to ask. What year's an 'R' reg?

its a 2 hour job and make sure the whole system is vented/bled thru once the swops been done, or for a simple fix try one a these suckers, have used them a few times and 100% every time.[;)] and they dont block up rad or need flushing out after use, just leave em in and they work every time.thry even work with your anti freeze still in the system[:)][:)] MAGIC.

DJ thanks for the reply, does the dash need to come out or is it just a case of stripping out the glove box etc to gain access? Its on my Dads motor I havn`t had a look yet but he is coming down with it over the hols to swap it out.

its a while since i rolled about upside down under them dash boards buddy but am sure you can just remove the trim and insulation the n/s dash and pull the clips on firewall so the matrix comes down slightly and then reveals the 10 millys that splits it in half so the little radiator comes out, there is plenty a room under the cherokee to get your arms unlike some a the american cars we all use every day so you will be ok,  ???as it been working and just dribbling or is it just not getting warm cos sometimes there just bypassed under bonnet fella.

Disconnect electrical connector located next to blower motor relay.
