Guys

Ive just bought  a 1997 Dakota Sport 5.2 Magnum
Where is the best place to get genuine service parts for it.
Although its 10 years old its only covered 28000 miles and never been out in winter. It is totally mint inside and out and literally looks under a year old,so if im buying bits i want to keep it genuine.
Any help would be appreciated
cheers
PM

nice lookin truck
carnt help yer wi genuine parts stockists apart from maybe try yer local chrysler dealer
me i dont have a problem wi aftermarket parts,
reckon any parts need to come upto a good standard,an even genuine parts are sorced from other manufactures
mi hemi ram alternator is bosch made in mexico,
i bought a ac delco cos it wer cheaper than original factory fitted bosch, (voltage regulater packed up at about 35,000 mile)
when it came it wer bosch made in mexico in a ac delco box
mi last 5.9 dodge ram ,in 105,000 mile it only had rear diff bearings replaced (off shelf bearing from a bearing dealer)
an a little sensor block about £45 might be air idle ?( it wer stalling on tickover)
regular oil an filter changes once a year (5000-6000 mile) an it had a pully belt an battry

if you want just service bits get them from a chrysler dealer over here. Parts are cheap enough.

Nice truck, but then I'm gonna say that ain't I? You do realise red ones go faster.

I get my truck serviced once a year at the dealer in Chester and then do an intermediate myself. Bring the parts back when I'm in the US or Canada. I have the 4.7 so the dealer carries all the parts, don't know if they used your engine in anything over here though.

JC Whitney are good for dress up bits and I've had no bother with them handling the shipping and has always been well priced.

Good luck with it and maybe see you at the spring Nats.

Yep, they did a LHD Grand Cherokee over here in the mid 90's. It had the 318ci small block same as my Ramster. A lot of Jeep parts will fit these trucks, even including some switchgear.

Try this site where I bought my BMW 528i brake rotors. They offer truck parts and accessories as well.
