Hi Roger, By the way, It would be great if you could post the UK show dates on here for our members to see and we could do the same on the UK Forum with our Dates? what do you think? I'm not talking about either of us flooding the other with advertising,after all, we're all grownups here,like for like is what I am meaning,I'm presuming none of our dates clash? [fingers crossed] Also as this is the year we're all trying to become a closer knit community, I know Richard is of the same mind as myself,also I have spoken to the New Chairwoman of the AACNW and I think we are all in agreement that a more fluid interclub relations can't be a bad thing, to my mind everyone will benefit, plus it will send out a strong message to all that together,we are a formidable force, This is something that has been tried before,but it doesn't mean we can't make it happen this time, As you know, the Gates at Billing are open to welcome all UK,AACNW and all other clubs and members,plus the individual independant American Vehicle owners, everyone is welcome, If we start here Roger? we could make a real difference here don't you think? Mo.

We fully agree with you Mo as the new northampton area reps. our meet is open to all people regardless of which club they belong to, in the end we are all enthusiasts and have a common goal and that is to enjoy our vehicle and to meet like minded people. Geoff n Julia

Hi Geoff, I think its the only way for us all to proceed, All clubs can assist eachother in many ways, plus the wake from this movement will show everyone that we are all mature sensible and creative people, The benefits would be many, non club american vehicle owners will see a unity like never before, and could well jump at the chance to become a member of one or many of the fine clubs around, All show attendances will increase, as different club members become friends and simply tag along to be shown some hospitality at another Venue, The smaller clubs will surely benefit financially from such an increase in trade and goodwill, Fighting government! As a huge unit, we would be one hell of a force, In my role as Chairman of the AACI, here it is in writing for everyone to see and read, There is no reason whatsoever that all clubs could not unite for the common goal, Friendship,Future Success and Prosperity for all,whether your in a large club or small,all are welcome. Mo {AACI Chairman}

Mo, Dates for AACUK shows are: Spring Nats April 25/26/27 at Victoria Farm, Lutterworth. Beehive Jive III May 30/31/1 at Beehive Farm, Rosliston, Derbyshire. Summer Nats June 20/21/22 at Stratford racecourse, Stratford upon Avon Autumn Nats September 19/20/21 at Stoke Prior Sports Club, Bromsgrove. Also, the Blue Ridge Runners put on an excellent show in August - I will find out the dates and maybe organise a camping weekend with Craig at our new place for then (other people can camp as well, not just Craig...). The mood at the AACUK AGM was definitely all for pulling in the same direction, i'm sure Roger will be back to you soonest. Regards Pete.

Funnily enough I did go to post on the UK forum about this, but someone else had already beat me to it. I will give him a gentle reminder. In fairness to Roger, he was posting here as new area rep. for the club and trying to drum up support for his meet, he may not have anticipated a new role working for the UN as well! I'm quite sure Richard will have picked this up as well.

Hi Pete, I've emailed Richard earlier, I think we can all help eachother,why divide ourselves when we are all doing the same thing! As far as I can see our shows don't clash,so we can advertise on eachothers sites and reach out to people, If we are all sensible and no-one takes liberties there shouldn't be a problem, Its very important that we give and take,I've now made the first move,so I would expect contact and positive confirmation soon as to the other clubs being of the same conviction as we are, Every single club out there can not survive without its members, we must show a certain amount of unity and co-operation between us,this will provide us with a platform to work from, I'm hoping that I am not left here out on a limb too long waiting, we have all waited long enough, we owe it to the members to which we all serve to open up an invitation to all friendly peace loving people within this hobby of ours, Yes,the clubs have different names and areas of the country,but we can come together more often than we have in the past and show that although we may wear different club jackets,we are all exactly the same as eachother, old disputes [if they still exist]should be forgotten for the sakes of the new members growing up and looking to join a club like ours, we should be sending out a strong signal of unity and trust that makes joining a club for the first time to sound very appealing, Politics will arrise now and again,but this is where the top officials of the clubs can show their worth,in negotiation and compromise, If this has any chance of working, I will meet any clubs officials,anytime,anywhere, I can't hold my hand out for ever, I'm here waiting with the best intentions at heart, we can only wait and see who will step up. Mo

Hi, I've just had what I think is a valid point raised from another clubs member,[sent to me by email] This person has commented, " So does this mean Mo,that any American Vehicle owners club can just come on here and post what they like about their meets and shows etc?" This is a valid point I think, The answer is no! As established clubs we have to be seen to be working together,but there must obviously be a certain need for caution, Apart from the clubs I am personally aware of,containing people that i have actually dealt with in the past or recently, before any club can post their meets etc, I would need to talk to them first, I would need to do this purely as protector/guardian, call it what you will, Not every person in the world is a good person, unfortunately this is true, so a measure of caution has be to used before we would allow just anyone to post, i would expect this to be the case with other clubs, although we show kindness,this can not be taken as a green light to take any liberties with another clubs Forum, I would conduct myself by the rules of that club and I would wish the same for us, Its a very delicate situation, we obviously must take care and step wisely, Thanks Mo.

Sorry for the delay in replying but I have been away over the weekend My post on your forum was just to inform and invite fellow American car enthusiasts to attend AACUK Leicester area meet to our new venue at the Plough Inn, Ratby as I am the new Joint area Rep for Leicestershire. Many members of all clubs have attended our meets at the Brant Inn, Groby, over the past 4 years and my post was to inform them of the venue change. As far as advertising shows, etc. that is a committee decision not for area reps to decide, but I do know we have a policy of not promoting any shows or events that CLASH with any of our shows.AACI area reps already promote their monthly meets, etc. on our forum with no problems and we all often meet up at each others meets.ALL of our show dates are on our web site for everyone to see and I was only promoting my area meet and not taking any Liberties, if you feel I have please remove my post Quote: I'm just waiting here for my reply from Rogers Rig, There's an open invitation here and now for some serious dialogue on the subject, or to arrange a meet somewhere with the other clubs officials, Mo I Understood there was one with CJ 2 years ago , Whatever was the out come of that one ??

If someone could let me have the relevant dates, locations etc, I will ask for them to be posted on the non-aacuk events page on the website - the only exception being, as Roger pointed out, any that clash, where we can only promote the aacuk event. Lets look forward to a long, warm summer of great car meets and shows!
