mcvicar -> Saturn SL2 (Feb. 17 2008 22:34:01)

Just seen this on Ebay and it looks interesting, anyone care to advise on whether it would be a good or bad buy as a daily use car?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1993-Saturn-SL2-4-door-luxury-Saloon-Long-tax-test_W0QQitemZ160208200222QQihZ006QQcategoryZ18301QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Any advice would be gratefully received, I have never owned an American car in the UK before and am a little worried about parts etc.#

or bring stuff back from yer holidays [:D]

I've probably jumped in here a bit late seeing as the auction ended ages ago.... but that is actually my old car!

Most parts are available for them, but they're virtually never kept in stock by UK suppliers so are almost always special order - which can be a bit of a pain as you have to wait for them. Parts aren't cheap either.

On the plus side, they're very reliable, handle very well, and get 30-35mpg.

on a recent flydrive holiday a few weeks ago
i drove almost 2500 miles zigzaggin across/around florida,
was amazed at the amount of saturn dealerships there,
allso saw lots of saturns driving about,
seems to be alot more than what ad noticed previose years
