Status: offline 		 Out of interest some years ago I got me one of these banzi trucks at Americana loved driving it but not it's fuel consumption ,which wasn't helped by it's warped exhaust manifolds 7/10 mpg localy and 15mpg on a run.
Fitted a tonnue cover and gained 3mpg the real improvement being to import a full Edelbrock exhaust system which was a real b-----d to fit, but mpg up to 21/22 and sounded just awesome,  Cheers Chris

meant to put it here

think yer drove it a bit steadier once yer fitted tonno an exhaust
av fitted tonnos an only diffrence it made was ,mi stuff dint get sucked outa bed at speed
an headers an exhaust made me drive on exhaust note
baaaaaaBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
so mpg wer loads worse

Status: offline 		 Dave didn't keep the truck for long after fitting the exhaust system a guy walked into my mates garage and said he wanted it, I tried to get him to buy a Syclone real fast one instead. No I want your truck , name'd my price which he didn't like but asked him how many he'd scene and paid me cash made over £4000 profit,on the sale so put a deposit on a new Chrysler PT Cruiser !. Cheeky sod tried to get me to buy it back after he'd made a mess of it, couple years later.
Would very definatly require an LPG conversion.

Status: online 		them 454SS trucks wer a great performance truck when they wer out in early 90s,before the likes of lightnings an srt10s,
a use'ta want one ,but goin on nearly 20 years they been left behind abit now ,
bhp an performance wise

Status: offline 		 Dave didn't you pick up that Custom  Chevy stepside at the same Americana as I got the 454.
It had been imported in May 91 and spent most of it's life in the Newark area, yes it could devour rubber very easily my only critisism being that model had the LCD dash and no rev-counter. Believe the models colours were black,white ,red those are the only colour's have seen.

the multi show winning 1991  350 chevy stepside with full custom paint an graphics ,
liftkit , big wheels tyres ,performance chipped ,full borla exhaust ,double tube roll bar etc 
got it just before may bank holiday few weeks before Americana 2000,
an same as you  Chris,got somebody who was sick to buy it ,
sold it august bank holiday at a show a few weeks after Americana ,
made some good money on it but not as much as you
nice lil'pickup it also had the normal dash wi'a rev counter
found this old photo (taken at pilgrim roadster show tattershall coupla weeks after Americana)
