astrodunn -> Insurance brokers? (Feb. 26 2008 13:36:43)

Ive been insured with adrian flux for the past 3 years on my 1992 astro van, they where very competitive at first , but they seem to be getting more expensive every year.

is this normal? its gone up £50 per year that ive been with them. i havn't claimed once, have full NCB and im on a minimum milage (scam) sceam. should it not stay the same or come down ?

is there any other insurance bokers out there that will give me a better deal?

I think all insurance companys will up the premiums if you stay with them.  Buy a Classic American and phone all the insurance numbers.  Call back Flux and tell them the best quote - likely result is that they will match it.
I read somewhere on the net (therefore may not be true) that its all so competetive that they make almost no money (or a loss) from the first year, because they need to get people on their books.  only in subsequent years is there profit as lots of people don't change.

Interesting to watch the amount on money churchill are pooring into TV ads.  don't they promise to beat any quote? give em a try :)

MCE, always been alright.
Bit of a pain to get thru to on the phone sometimes but pretty good for me over the last few years. No big hikes at all.

I'm also with MCE, just got my renewal through - £50 less than last year, give them a call mate.
