Hi all, As the easter weekend was quite a wash out, i spent most of my time knicking around the house and found a great website called Ezfolk.com, spent an afternoon learning how to play some basic bluegrass banjo as my old man has one. However, it now appears i'll have to get my own soon... so, anyone out there got any suggestion on some decent ones, currently have limited use of an Epiphone one with a resonator, pretty heavty on the old legs though. Cheers Andy-hick

Cheers Andy-hick nice to here someone els is into blugrass i joined this site quite q good set of guys but a bit biast to american banjos http://www.banjohangout.org/myhangout/ i have 2 one is a hondo sometimes called the littigation because hondo baught the Gibson factory and just started to copy the Gibson banjos but gibson did not sell them the right to copy them just the factory so it went to court hence the title litigation as some of the models were already sold and they could not get them back this one is a nice light banjo has a nice tone with good harmonicks too .but my outher is a diferent class it is a Deering and what a diferent feel and sound it has it is heavy because it has a bellbronse tone ring and the action is just fantastic deering sell banjos ranging from about £400 to £ 25,000 but a good one of theres is about £1.000 up wards Eagle music have a top selection of banjops in stock and hobgoblin also keep a good few in and you can sit and try any one or a few till you get one that feels and sounds right to you it is also good to take someone with you to play the one you like so you can stand about 8 feet away to here the sound coming out from it . hope this help both shops have web sites . john
