bin poking around the boot of my '91 camaro and discovered that it has the motor fitted to close the boot with the harness attached. There is no switch in the cockpit for this option.
Is this fitted as standard but the switch an option? If so, is the connector in the loom somewhere.
In no great need to have it working but if it is there I may as well use it....

Any help appreciated.

Just got it through the MOT having replaced the rear wheel bearings, a useful tip to anyone having problems removing the old bearing shells is this - run a weld 360 degrees all round the inside of the shell, let it cool, and the shell then comes out easily ! Sorry if I am teaching you to suck eggs but I was told this by a mate when he realised I was having problems and it worked a treat !

Hi Dave, there is no button, that is the mystery! There are no holes anywhere that a switch could have been either. There are loads of unused connectors in the loom under the dash, thought one of these might be the kiddie. The ones I have seen in other 3rd Gens have been in the centre console.

My third gen boot release is a switch located in the centre console in between the two leccy window switches. Its a sliding button. Mine is an early one though.

Yeah, ditto on the boot release switch. Center consol, between the two electric window switches.

I'm free tomorrow, i'll come up seeing as we have some light if you're free, i'll bring my chilton manual and you can try chancing the wires.
