Can't wait - got confirmation of new registration number and my Camaro should be arriving today around lunchtime!!

Hi,

Will be posting pics tomorrow. She turned up quite late and then we had trouble with the idle - in that it didn't! Turned out to be the choke staying on so my hubby fixed it and then it ran really well. Plenty of power, more than I expected - very nice

She's also in better condition than we thought as well - the paint's certainly better.

Goonv8 - I hope to go to Billing but not on the Saturday as planned as my hubby can't get the day off from work so we might try and get there for the Sunday.

Quick question - Is there a way to post more than one pic within the messages? Last time I tried it would only let me insert one pic

Thanks for your help with photobucket - got the hang of it now although they're a bit big!

Looks like we'll be going to Billing on the Sunday now if the weather's ok. My husband, Mark, has a 57 Chevy Bel Air that he'll be bringing as well so we'll hopefully meet up with some of you there

And I've posted my membership off today so I'll soon be official!

Glad you like the look of her - I haven't stopped grinning since I saw her

She does drive really well, Nick. To be honest I thought she was going to be a pig to drive but I found her really easy. Horrible around corners but in a straight line, brilliant. Loads of pull through the gears and great pick-up at any speed it seems. It looks like she has a custom exhaust and sounds quite loud which I'm sure the neighbours just love

Looking forward to getting out there in her now so won't be swapping this year

Are there many first gen's over here does anyone know? I saw a couple for sale when I was looking but I really wanted the hideaway lights and they didn't have them which is why I ended up importing.

They are about. My mate Ian has a rather nice one ! As far as Camaro looks are concerned, IMHO they got it right first time !
