In baking terms its not a roll. A roll is finger shaped (hence the name 'roll') whereas thats obviously not finger shaped - and dont go giving me the old 'well, there's a difference between rolls and finger roll' argument either, because there isnt.
Even the word 'baking' is a misnomer, 'steaming' being far more common, topped off with a little grilling.
