But tea cakes are those little fruity bun things you toast... not rolls. If I ask for a spanner, i get a spanner. If I ask for a lift, i get a lift. If I ask for a tea cake, i get a roll?! Are you telling me thats northern logic? =P I think we could have struck something here which shakes the very foundation of this here, fine society... a tea cake is not a roll!

Teacake From Wikipedia, the free encyclopediato: navigation, search [/link] A toasted currant teacake with [link=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coffea_arabica]Mocha Burnley In the East Lancashire town a teacake is what is commonly known as a bap or roll. Whilst for the rest of the nation a teacake has currants in this is referred to as a currant teacake. So if you are ever passing through the fine East Lancashire town don't be suprised to find bacon and egg teacakes.

"MANCHESTER UNITED"..end of story morning glory...... Traffic jams on the M1 ..I sat in it for 2 hours today and last friday/thursday/wednesday in fact I spend most of my day sat in traffic jams on North and south motorways

Thats because all the southern clubs are ........ martin you toast teacakes and liberally spread with butter .and enjoy with a good brew of tea...... you put bacon and eggs on muffins with brown sauce ....there are some strange goings on on the other side of the Penines... Anyway could you imagine aliens trying to decide how to infiltrate the United Kingdom with a view to taking it over..think they would give it up as a bad job after a couple of weeks ... *~~¬~#~~} english supid f***ers lets go home

Tell you what guys living here you realise joost how daft all this language barrier is...our next village (400 folks) is further than it is Leeds to Manchester on't M6, our nearest "big" (4000 folks)town further than Leeds to Birmingham, and the big smoke (Perth) is like driving Leeds to Edinburgh - and most of it on B type roads....try having a discussion about bread buns vs. baps here!!!!!
