Hi, Well? I've done my bit for queen and country today, opened up four chimney flues and put the pots on and cowls, pointed them up and all done for 2.30pm, the roof was that high, i had to tie one ladder to the end of the extention ladder we had to reach the roof, so I might give the slide a miss tonight, the old legs are still shakin,  Mo,   on the ground again tomorrow though.

Well? I saw stars being born tonight, Bren and Angie did it again at the 56 meet, fantastic prizes and they had the place in the palm of their hands, Bren pulled out the tickets for the raffle winners while Angie presented the prizes and talked to the crowd,  AACI stars indeed, This is a fantastic combined meet involving our Manchester Rep, Big Chris, lancashire Rep, John the Vicar, and of course Bren and Angie, our Cheshire Reps, lots of laughter and smiles from everyone that attended, thanks to everyone for being there.
COMING SOON, THE AMERICAN GRAFITI NIGHT,  THE PRIZES ARE VERY VERY SPECIAL, ANNOUNCEMENT COMING SOON.  MO.

Yeah we second all of the above,

The raffle took over £100 for charity and we had an auction too for a very collectable set of classic model cars and petrol station which netted another £50.

There where around 20 yanks in the carpark and at least 10 other daily drivers.  We had some new cars which I have not seen there before, a nice silver ram, a black dakota and a monte carlo SS.

Martin and Carol made it down to us, and also the return of Chris Walker too.

The weather held nicely and from what I can see a great night was had by all.

Heres to the next un

Phil.

What can I say?? Thanks for the nice comments Mo.

Fantastic turnout...some great new vehicles on show and the weather was good for us for a change!!

Thanks to John Vicars mate...(Keith I think) and Jen for the donation of the Texaco garage and trucks to match...beautiful little set. We decided to do an auction for this prize cos it was quite special and we raised 50.00 for that alone!!

A grand total of 150.00 was raised tonight which is amazing.

Thanks to John Vicar and Carole for bringing a `bag` of prizes again, you never let us down.
The long distance award goes to Martin and Carole for coming all the way down from `up norf`..thanks guys.
I`d just like to say that all the raffle prizes ARE donated and there are no funds whatsoever taken out of the charity money!! Bren and myself put our hands in our own pockets for these prizes. I would also like to thank everyone who has, in the past, and still donates prizes, no matter how large or small, it all goes to a good cause...`WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR`

As Mo said...`watch this space` for more info on the AMERICAN GRAFITTI NIGHT!!

A great night was had by all.
It's a really friendly atmosphere, very relaxed and laid back.
Many many thanks to John and Carole and also to Keith and Jen for the auction prize, superb stuff, and a quality Mustang too I might add!
As Phil said, some new faces too the group, always welcome.
great to see Martin and Carrol over from t'other side , hope you enjoyed your baps guys
And the charity fund? What can we say? Thanks very much to all concerned, and must mention Tracey here cos every month she's there selling raffle tickets to whoever she can, and she's not even AACI.

Really enjoyed it, thanks peeps.

Now, next month it falls on June 2nd. It's going to be a themed American Grafitti quiz/raffle/thingy I aint made my mind up yet. But, you don't wanna be missin it. (I will put a special post up elsewhere, so everyone knows.)

I think it was Chris Edsels daughter that gave us all a good laugh, when the auction got into full swing and then there were two bidders left, a little voice shouted £35 !!!! then as the bidding was nearly £50, the same little voice shouted £80!!!!   brilliant Mo.
