Guys, this one's on behalf of Dek who asked me to ask y'all earlier.... apparently his van is driving 100 miles or so then the speedo starts to read lower than the speed he's doing. Then the van surges and at the same time drunk petrol. any ideas?

Sure you 'ain't going up a hill and it kicked down a cog At a guess theres a problem in the 'box, something sticking or the blades dragging. (has the oil deteriated) this would show a loss of speed more than whats actually lost then the surge I take it its like flooring the petrol pedal that would drink more squirt as the box might be telling the engine to rev more. Or has he got a foot handbrake he accidently puts on/off
