C'mon, what's the best word? (Anyone who says 'love' or Dodge will be shot)

My personal faves are:
Futtocks - part of a ship but worth it for comedic value
Moist - just inserted into a random sentence, it can make all the difference.

My neighbour's name is Farquhar. I have currently got seven years of mileage out of that word. Incidently, I worked with a woman called Ann Ing and, no word of a lie, her husband's name was Roger. Bit off topic but it still makes me laugh!

what's the best word?

Well i still say it today but the best word for me is "celler door"

These two words can mean so many things,,, in there could be your worst nightmare, or your room of content,, your room of piece of mind, your room of going out of your mind,, and the list is endless,,,, but everyone has there own way to deal with there "celler door"

I'm not sure about this. Oddest word I've heard lately was "cratch" which apparently is a place on a narrowboat. Am sure Phil and Mo can tell you much more about it. Apparently you can sit on your cratch all day and do pretty much anything. I imagine you could be washing/rubbing/polishing your cratch while holding a conversation with a fellow canal dweller.

It's odd how certain words have had their meanings drastically altered over the years. There's a Tim McGraw song and the chorus has comparisons like,
' back when a Coke was a Coke, a hoe was a hoe .....
a screw was a screw and when you said "I'm down with that" it meant you had the flu.' Clever stuff.

Garage ...because it the place where dreams are made and lost...a sanctuary for grown men....only to be invaded by women bearing gifts of refreshment ....a place that only needs to be tidied when you can't find the right spanner for the job...where a mess in controlled and you instinctively know where everything is in the place ....

Martin said the best word in the world,

for me its   C  O  L  I  N

When the wife says it in a sexy voice and she's got a beer for me in one hand and says "watch what you want on telly darling"

I know its going to cost me but the 3 B's are worth it

Used to use fudge a lot in replacement for a four letter word beginning with the same letter. Did use it once at school (in the distant past) nearly got a detention until everybody in the class backed me up in class. How ironic it was food tech.

Also use 'Frick' or some times 'Frickin'.
