As far as i read on my Detroit spy thingy, the Camaro platform is a go, but the other cars that were going to use it, like the new versions of previous models (names escape me at the moment) were scrapped. It also stated that the Camaro would be the last sports car produced by GM that will be rear wheel drive. Along with that, the base model will be a V6 rather than what some thought, a V8. Its a shame but all the car companies really can't afford to lose money anymore. I read somewhere the market in the States is now split 50:50 with domestic vs. imports. Less and less people are being patriotic and buying American. Its highly unlikely that there is much of a market outside the States that would keep the big three above.
