1994 Pontiac Trans Am
Pamela Tune (Co Founder AACI)

1994 Pontiac Trans Am Little did I know when I first met my other half (Prez) in (October 1998) did I realize that within the space of a little over Seven Years I would become so engrossed in the enthusiasm for American cars & the people that own them that they were destined to occupy every minute of my day or that I could ever imagine being the owner of my own American car, however as most ladies who choose a partner who are enthusiasts of the Club & Events scene will know there is no escaping the 'Fever' & it eventually becomes part of your own life.

It was back in October 98 that I experienced my initiation to American cars via a 1988 Lincoln Town Car that my other half owned at the time as well as his Chevrolet 'Southwind' Motorhome. No girl could fail to be impressed with the luxurious ride & appeal of the Lincoln that looked stunning in comparison to any other car I had ever seen, it was pure White with Blue Leather seating that just seemed to swallow you up in it's comfort & had more creature comforts than most home's let alone a car. Much could be said of the Southwind that transported us effortlessly all over the Country while carrying out our roles within the AAC UK as CEO & Treasurers Assistant. Little did we realize that we would eventually become Founder members of our own club after our retirement from the AAC UK in November of 2003 & that the year of 2005 would result in ownership of my own car.

1994 Trans AmAlthough the car is now Eleven years old it is still in stunning condition & was obviously well cared for during it's previous ownership. A mountain of Paperwork covering it's previous history with it's various owners was passed onto me & supplies a great deal of Servicing, maintenance & general care history of it over the years.

There is a slight scratch on the drivers door & a couple of very minor chips in the Lacquer of the Nose Cone that are soon to be sorted (after applying pressure) to my other half. Other work I hope to have completed over the next few months is Polishing of all Glass to remove minute scratches & the fitting of a new set of Chrome plated Aluminum Wheels & Tyres that I expect delivery of in the next few days from Northants Tyres who are one of our main Sponsors.

The Car is fitted with the 5.7 liter V8 that my other half informs me is of 275 BHP, Automatic Transmission & is estimated to give between 17 to 25 MPG but as SHE is not going to be used as a daily driver I'm not too concerned about fuel consumption however he makes no secret of the fact that he hopes to run it down the Quarter Mile given the opportunity, I'm still thinking about that one though. At the moment I just want to cruise in her at every opportunity & look forward to Sunny Days cruising with the all NEW chapter of the AACI specifically for Lady owners of the club 'The Cruising Angels' as we have chosen to name ourselves. Check the site for details very shortly if you wish to join the ever growing list of Ladies who are members of the new Chapter.

I hope this profile encourages other Lady owners to put Pen to Paper & put forward their own profiles for the site.

What ever car you drive, enjoy, I most certainly am going too.
