 To many this weekend seems to epitomise the “American Car Scene” big, brash, chrome laden, V8 rumbling, gas guzzling American steel and that infernal Rock N Roll music. The second show of the season was well attended considering the fact that there were a few other well established shows on over the same weekend.
Two great bands had been booked and they did not disappoint. Appearing on Friday night were “The Firebirds” and for Saturday night “Johnny and the Jailbirds”.
A special appearance by Colin Gold on Monday afternoon was missed by a lot of people who had left early. With judging having been done over the Sunday and Monday it was brought forward to allow people to set off that little bit earlier to avoid the dreaded Bank Holiday traffic. If your registration number is listed amongst the prize-winners and you haven’t received your trophy then make yourself known at the hospitality suite near the marquee where you will be able to collect it.
